Kate is an American Speech-Language Pathologist with over a decade of experience supporting children and families in the United States and Germany. She specializes in English-Language speech therapy for international families in Mannheim, Heidelberg, and the Rhine-Neckar region.

Since moving to Germany, Kate has worked with international families, including those connected to the U.S.military service and contractors. As a member of the Rhine-Neckar region since 2020, she understands the unique needs of families navigating child development and speech therapy in a country where English is not the primary language.

Kate provides comprehensive speech and language evaluations, individualized therapy, and practical strategies parents can use at home. Through clinical sessions and in-home visits, she partners with families to support communication development in everyday life.

Her approach is collaborative and family-centered, with a focus on making high-quality, accessible speech therapy available to English-speaking families throughout Germany.

Since earning her American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence in 2013, Kate has worked across private practice, schools, early intervention, and long-term care. She also provides gender-affirming voice therapy and speaks internationally on speech and language disorders.

Kate received her undergraduate degree (4-year program) from the University of Maryland in 2011 and her masters degree (2-year program) in Speech and Language Pathology from Loyola University Maryland in 2013.

Why Choose Private Speech Therapy?

Working with a private speech-language therapist is an investment in your or your child’s communication development. Private therapy offers greater flexibility, individualized care, and the freedom to tailor services to your unique needs and goals.

Availability: Shorter wait times and greater flexibility with scheduling appointments.

Flexibility: No insurance-mandated session limits or restrictions. You and your therapist can determine the frequency, duration, and overall length of therapy based on your needs, goals, and progress.

Individualized Care: Therapy is tailored to your specific communication needs, with the freedom to adjust goals and strategies as you progress.

Family-Centered Approach: For children, private therapy allows for greater collaboration with families and caregivers, with practical strategies to support communication development in everyday life.

Some private and international health insurance plans may offer partial or full reimbursement for speech therapy services. Coverage varies depending on your individual plan and policy. We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to clarify your benefits and reimbursement options.
